My dad passed away last Thursday so this is as far as I got in making this week’s recipe, pineapple upside down cake.
There are books that have been calling to me to read them for years and Persepolis is one of them. Written and drawn by Marjean Satrapi, Persepolis is the autobiography of a young girl who grows into a young woman while witnessing the changes in Iran beginning in the 70’s and how those changes shaped the life not only of Satrapi and her friends and family but the entire world. Ink, Mountains and Mystery is a beautiful game you can play on your phone, both iphone and android. It is a puzzle solving game with a storyline, two things I really like in a game. I attempted to play the game on my phone this week. I failed miserably. The seat was also held for 12 years by Tom Price. Remember him? He was Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Services. Let’s let wikipedia tell us how his political story ended: Read more
This week’s recipe challenge is brought to you by friend of the blog and, come to think of it, friend to pretty much the entire world, Mollie! I was dragging my feet on making the cake and Mollie came over with our friend Audrey to eat soup and spend time together and seemed very interested in making the cake. I, being a good and generous and lazy friend, stepped aside to allow Mollie the joy of making the almond cake all on her own. Read more
