Campari is a beautiful color and tastes like cleaning solution. But, if you mix it with orange juice and fizzy water and drink it over ice with your friends it is delicious! Let’s make Campari orange spritzers!
The palmiers were a challenge and I have to say they didn’t turn out very good. I forgot the salt and even though all the ingredients are salty you really need to remember the salt. They were bland. And they were really hard to slice. I finally put the roll in the freezer and then sliced them. Any other way and it was a squishy mess.
I don’t think I will make the palmiers again but the Campari orange spritzers were delicious. My only recommendation is to make a pitcher of them and then pour them over ice. We built the drinks in individual glasses per the directions and we think it would have tasted a little better and been easier to make them if we’d made a big batch.
Campari was apparently a big deal a few years ago. I read about how certain drinks come and go in popularity as people move in and out of the age where they spend a good amount of their disposable time and money in bars.
Give these lovelies a whirl and let me know how it turns out.
