Corn and Chicken Sausage Chowder

Corn and Chicken Sausage Chowder

I made more soup! And this one is very good. Corn and Chicken Sausage Chowder is another frankenrecipe. I really need to start following recipes again because it is a lot of work to write out your own recipes with ingredients and directions. Here are my directions: peel, cut, boil, stir, try not to burn yourself. Just kidding, I’ll write better ones below. Read more

tomato and sausage soup

Tomato and Sausage Soup

I live in Southern California so I will refrain from complaining about the cold. Here, relative to much of the United States, we are not cold. We are a bit chilly. Perfect time for tomato and sausage soup.

That being said, all I want to eat is soup. And ice cream. It’s weird. And no, I am not pregnant. Read more

Easy mostly Dairy Free Chocolate Cake

Easy mostly Dairy Free Chocolate Cake

We all know that the easiest chocolate cake is one someone else makes. That being said, this one is pretty easy to make, if a bit unexpected. It’s been awhile since I baked and all sorts of weird things are happening. I’m not complaining, it makes things much more interesting in the kitchen. There is mayonnaise in this cake and hot coffee and you need to use every mixing bowl in your kitchen. Uh…well, if you say so. And the good people at America’s Test Kitchen do say so.

Applesauce Cake

Applesauce Cake

I ate this entire cake in three days. Six was home but he didn’t want any of it. He was wrong. It is delicious. Applesauce cake sounds weird and you have to break out the food processor (or blender, I don’t have a food processor) to make it but man oh man is it goooooooooood.
