Life is filled with conflicts, differing opinions and varied experiences. We hope to explore all of these things on this site. We will be extraordinarily thoughtful when posting content, but sometimes we’ll make a mistake. This is inevitable. If you disagree with something we’ve said, let us know! Please, please comment with respect. Read it out loud. Would you say this to someone in person? If the answer is no, don’t send it. This applies doubly to our contributors. They are our guests.
Enough with the Shame
Every article won’t speak to every person’s experience. We will seek out people to share a diverse range of experiences, because one version of life isn’t the only one worth talking about. If a story doesn’t resonate with you, that’s ok. We would love to hear from you and perhaps share a story from your perspective. However, we will not tolerate, or share comments that shame a woman for their career choices, parenting choices, wardrobe choices, bodies, the food they eat, the make-up they wear, or don’t wear – you get the idea.
Be Kind to Each Other
If you read something you like, take a moment to make a positive comment, or give it a like. In our digital age, it’s so easy to express only outrage. It feels good to be noticed and appreciated, so if you like someone’s writing, or product, or comment, or outfit, or lipstick, say something!
It’s our Party
We reserve the right to block users or turn off comments at any time, for any reason and without explanation or warning. We’re here because we want to engage with you and we will do our best to read comments on social media platforms and respond as much as possible. That said, we also plan to live our lives. Try to be patient with us.
Be Great = No Hate
We will not tolerate racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or personal attacks of any kind on ourselves, our contributors, or members of our community. See rule #1. You know better than that. Knock it off.
