TED talks are the bright side of the internet. Since the original conference in 1984, the non-profit has amassed a catalogue of tens of thousands of talks on virtually every subject on the planet. The format is brilliant. Experts in their fields and ordinary people alike have 18 minutes to spread their ideas and TED makes those ideas available for the world to hear.
The TED Radio Hour podcast takes this one step further. Each week, they curate four talks into a theme. The eminently likable Guy Raz interviews the speakers and weaves the individual talks together to tell a new story. The episode from June 29th, Hidden Potential, had tears running down my face during my daily dog walk. My poor neighbors.
If you’re ever looking for an inspiring, thought provoking podcast, this is it. Great for long car drives and sparking conversations with kids. Enjoy!
